Loto Lock Category

No matter what industry you work in, it's important to have the right tools for your job, but when it comes to lockout tagout, having the most versatile and appropriate equipment for your employees is critical. There are four categories of loto locks that can help you meet the requirements of your factory and build responsibility and accountability among your employees.

safety padlock

Safety Padlock

As with all loto locks, safety padlocks must be provided and standardized by the supervisor or department manager. They must be distinguished from other loto locks, used only for locking purposes, and always distinguished from the name of the person using the lock.
Preferably, the safety padlock should hold the key to ensure that the padlock is secured and locked before the key is removed. The best practice for choosing a safety padlock is to choose a lightweight, non-conductive lock body that can be easily customized for your facility.

lockout tag

Lockout Tag

Lockout tags play a crucial role in lockout/tagout. They provide a warning of dangerous situations that may occur when a machine or device is powered on. The lockout tag conveys important information about the conditions of the shutdown and can provide a photo identification of the employee performing the maintenance.
A lockout tag is commonly used in two ways: with a lock to identify the lock owner; Or in exceptional cases, it can be used without a lock. If the lockout tag is used without a lock, the label must be: exposed, standardized and distinct from other labels, include clear warnings and instructions, come with a non-reusable self-locking device, and can withstand 50 pounds of tension.

loto locks for equipment

Loto Lock For Equipment

Many different types of loto locks can be used to effectively and safely protect energy isolation points. The following three types of loto locks will help ensure the energy isolation and locking required for each facility.
Electrical safety lock: These devices hold the power supply of mechanical/electrical equipment in the "off" position. Examples include circuit breaker locks and plug locks.
Multifunctional cable locks: These can be used when safety padlocks or other fixtures do not provide the flexibility required for proper locking. Typically, a single cable lock can be used to lock multiple energy isolation points.
Valve lockout: a wide variety of valves can be supplied in the factory compressed gas, liquid, steam, etc. Valve lockout can mask or physically prevent valve operation. There are four main types of gate, ball, plug and butterfly valves.

lockout hasp

Lockout Hasp

Lockout hasps allow multiple workers to apply padlocks to a single energy isolation point. Two types of lockout hasps are lockout hasp with tag and durable steel lockout hasp made of high strength steel.
